RULES:
The link for USSSA baseball rules is www.usssabaseball.org/2010_rules.htm. COACHES - Please print a copy of these rules and these exceptions to bring to the mandatory coach meeting.
14u, 12u and 10u will be played according to the rules in Single A USSSA baseball.
8u and 6u Tball will be played according to the rules in Single A USSSA baseball with the following exceptions:
8u Exceptions:
*8.08N NO intentional walking allowed.
*8.08Q
A team may score a maximum of 5 (five) runs per inning (NOT 7).
6u Tball Exceptions:
*8.08G Defensive coaches shall be allowed on the field of play – 1 (one) coach in the outfield and 1 (one) coach on the foul line. 8.08M NO intentional walking allowed. 8:08O A team may score a maximum of 5 (five) runs per inning (NOT 7). 8.08Q
A diamond flex ball will be used by all towns.
**Pitchers cannot tag the runner going to first base; the ball must be thrown to first base.
**One base on an overthrow to first base (only). Other runners (at 2nd and 3rd) do not have restrictions on an overthrow at first base, or any other base. Qualifications: 1. Must be 17 years of age or older for 7/8 and up; 15 and 16 for tball. 2. Must have experience/knowledge of baseball, not necessarily umpiring. 3. Must attend a USSSA clinic at your own expense to learn USSSA rules for all ages of baseball. Opportunity to attend an ASA clinic for umping softball at a separate cost. 4. Must provide your own shirts, pants, hat, shoes and protective gear. Shirt - light blue shirt with black collar mandatory (optional colors - navy, red, cream, black). Pants should be heather gray or black. Shoes should be solid black. Baseball cap should be solid black or navy. Protective gear must be worn for 10u and above. 5. Games scheduled will be in Sanger, Krum and Valley View. Towns to umpire in is your choice. Umpire Coordinator is Angie Collom at 940-230-4284.
To REGISTER ONLINE, click "Register for Baseball" on the left hand menu, then click on "Log in and register". You must set up your own account, then register for umpire.
USSSA Baseball in Sanger is played on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and some Saturdays. Tournaments will be umpired by 17 yr olds and older, who have had a solid record during the season.
You can work as many games as you would like throughout the season. I will be happy to work with your "real life" schedule. Pay Schedule: Tball (ages 4- 6): $20/game (one umpire) 7/8 League (coach pitch): $25/game (one umpire) 9/10 League (kid pitch): $25/game (two umpires) 11/12 League: $30/game (two umpires) 13/14 League: $35/game (two umpires)
